NORTHERN IRELAND ELECTRICAL AWARDS 2021 SHOWCASED THE FINEST CALIBRE FROM THE ELECTRICAL INDUSTRY… Celebrating excellence

W e were delighted to host Northern Ireland’s Electrical Awards 2021, celebrating everything that is great about our industry. Presented by sports broadcaster and Journalist, Adrian Logan, the awards shone a light on the incredible individuals and businesses striving for the best in the electrical industry. Sponsored by Napit, our awards recognised the many achievements of products, contractors, projects, people, and suppliers. Our team of expert judges, Stewart Nelson, Andy Fulton and previous Overall Achievement Award winner, Noel Harper, had the difficult task of picking the winners, with applications that excelled their expectations. Every year we are privileged to showcase the incredible talent within Northern Ireland’s electrical sector, and this year was no exception. This year was the first time our biggest award, Overall Achievement Award, was presented to a company. Deserving winners, Dowds Group impressed the judging panel with their scale and scope of projects and their continued dedication to deliver the best service to their clients was applauded. In our Product category, our panel was thrilled with the products from Aico and Ansell Lighting.

One application rendered a new award entirely based on how impressed the judges were. Ecovolt set the benchmark very high with its innovative carbon painting heating system and so, our judges created a new category for Innovative Product of the Year. Contractors including NIAVAC, Zone Electrical and William Coates were deemed worthy winners for their exemplary services in the sector. Meanwhile, Wholesalers and Distributors such as CEF and WS Mercer Belfast who scooped our prestigious Readers’ Choice Award proved the importance of adapting their services to meet customer needs. Projects that stood out to the judges included works conducted by CDE NI Ltd, Lightsource and KMDL Engineering for their impressive work on First Portadown Presbyterian Church.
