The Manufacturer of the Year Award showcases a company that has demonstrated the most impressive level of commercial success and executed new business projects within the last two years. Our judges were delighted to present Ansell Lighting with this award recognising its impressive growth since 2017 and ambitions moving forward. Established in 1992, Ansell Lighting is a recognised market leader in the lighting sector. It designs and assembles high-quality luminaries and exports to 22 different countries. Located in Belfast, the team supplies lighting fixtures for a number of applications including: healthcare applications, the education sector, public buildings, commercial offices, industrial settings and many more. Its use of in-house innovation, using the latest 3D design engineering technology and photometric analysis software has allowed Ansell to launch its own range of connected lighting products. With 30 years’ experience in the industry, Ansell focus exclusively on design, product quality and reliability. This is supported by a fast and efficient service to all customers. Ansell Lighting was delighted to accept the 2021 Manufacturer of the Year award, adding it to its array of industry awards over many years in business.

In another well-deserved win, Demesne Electrical scooped the award for Distributor/Supplier of the Year. Our judges felt that Demesne’s dedication to work with only the best electrical control and switchgear manufacturers made them a firm customer favourite. The company was founded in 1977 in a bid to connect the electrical industry in Ireland with top European brands and product developers. Key to its vision was building not just a distribution ecosystem, but a network of strong human relationships. With Demesne’s headquarters in Dublin, the company expanded in 1985 opening a distribution centre in Cork and later in 1999 a centre was opened in Dungannon in response to strong customer demand in Northern Ireland and UK. Current owners include, Chris McKenna, NI Sales Director, Dave Williamson and Paul Fitzsimons. Demesne’s continued success reflects a culture based on embracing innovation and recognising opportunity and investment in people. Judges praised Demesne’s commitment to continually improve its service to customers and to be recognised as a company that is “easy to do business with”. The judges were also keen to learn about Demesne’s podcast which is another fantastic way it connects with customers. This was an excellent win for the team, with the panel congratulating the team on its commitment to continue to improve its services to customers.
