2026 ELECTION INFORMATION:

State Primary Election – August 11, 2026 | General Election – November 3, 2026 Polls will be open on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Guides for Political Signs Minnesota law gives every resident the right to display yard signs supporting their candidate(s) from 46 days before the Primary Election to 10 days following the General Election. If you choose to display a campaign sign, make certain that it: » Is not installed before June 27, 2026 and is removed by November 13, 2026 » Is not placed in the public right-of-way or within the sight triangle (see sight distance triangle graphic below) » Is not placed within 100 feet of any polling location » Is located on private property with the permission of the property owner » Is located at least 10 feet inside the property line » Contains the name of the person responsible for the sign and its removal The city has the right to remove any sign that violates these provisions. Campaign signs are allowed in all zoning districts within the city and no permit is necessary.

Who can vote? To vote in Minnesota, you must be: » A U.S. citizen » At least 18 years old on Election Day » A resident of MN for at least 20 days » Not currently incarcerated for a felony conviction

You cannot vote if: » A court order has revoked your right to vote.
