Eat Kindly....
We know alcohol affects everything from our brain to our skin and all organs in between and we need to respect our bodies on the way back up the wine glass. The reality is that recovery is all about self-care and in order to break free of the wine years, we must focus on our own health and take all of the actions necessary to increase our chances of being successful at sober living. While the damage from our wine o'clock years can’t be undone overnight, a nutritious and wholesome diet can speed up the process. Eating properly will give you more energy, improve your immune system, and boost your mood.
In a conversation with a lovely lady recently, I advised her she needed to eat kindly as her system had been under attack from alcohol for a very long time. Now was a time for replenishment and kindness. both externally and internally. For me in early sobriety, I focused only on cutting out wine but in time, I became very mindful of eating a healthy balanced diet of healthy, nutritious food. I have found Eating well helps improve mood, regulate sleep, and establish a better routine for everyone who puts down the glass and we need to program that into our recovery plan.
This week eat kindly as you say not today lady, not today.
