Dynamo reçoit un coup de pouce bien mérité
Quand ça nous chante L’École secondaire catholique L’Escale de Rockland accueillera le festival Quand ça nous chante 2017, du 9 au 12 février prochain. Lors de cet évènement, des chanteurs et musiciens de toutes les écoles secondaires de langue fran- çaise de l’Ontario convergeront vers Rockland afin de démontrer leurs talents et de recevoir de la formation avec des professionnels du métier. – Maxime Myre Orient. Richard Martin et son équipe ont comme objectif d’amener en entier dans la région la manufacture des jeux qui sont présentement fabriqués en Corée. « Je veux vraiment amener la production ici, dans Prescott-Russell. Non seulement cela créera-t-il des emplois dans la région mais ce sera aussi économique pour nous. Car quand on doit transiger avec nos par- tenaires en Corée, c’est 30 heures de vol et trois semaines loin de chez soi! ». L’appui que Dynamo reçoit leur permet- tra de garder 38 emplois et d’en créer 10 autres à court terme. La premièreministre de l’Ontario, KathleenWynne, était d’ailleurs de passage au centre de production de Dynamo, à Plantagenet, pour souligner l’appui de la province à Dynamo et à d’autres entreprises dans l’Est ontarien.

Dynamo Industries, une entreprise basée à Rockland, est une compagnie à la fine pointe de la technologie qui conceptualise et manufacture des jeux pour des parcs par- tout dans lemonde, a reçu une subvention de 60 000 $ du Programme de développe- ment de l’Est ontarien. Plusieurs étaient présents lors de la re- mise du chèque de 60 000 $, le 13 octobre dernier, aux bureaux de Dynamo situés dans le parc industriel de Rockland. Les fonds proviennent du programme de développe- ment de l’Est ontarien, géré par la Société de développement communautaire de Pres- cott-Russell. Dynamo conceptualise des jeux extérieurs de grande envergure pour enfants, en utilisant principalement des systèmes de cordes. Pendant plus de 20 ans, Richard Martin, propriétaire, a dû s’adapter à des normes extrêmement restrictives quant à la sécurité tout en développant des produits intéressants et dynamiques pour attirer les jeunes. M. Martin a commencé en tant que répa- rateur de jeux et a remarqué que plusieurs jeux extérieurs étaient sous-utilisés par les jeunes. Il voulait donc réinventer la roue et offrir à la jeunesse des jeux plus diver- tissants qui mettraient au défi leurs talents athlétiques tout en assurant leur sécurité. Dynamo Industries, a state-of-the-art playground design andmanufacturing company based in Rockland, received a $60,000 dollar grant from the EasternOntarioDevelopment Program, which ismanagedby thePrescott-Russell CommunityDevelopment Corporation (PRCDC). The grant will help the company expand and bring itsmanufacturing processes locally.The designs created by Dynamo Industries are currentlymanufactured in South Korea. The company’s CEO, Richard Martin, said it will take some time but he assured the people present at the event that the company was in for the long run. Dynamo sells its playground design and equipment internationally and has been in operation for 20 years.The event took place at Dynamo’s offices in Rockland’s industrial park onOctober 13.
