Hypothesis 7: Reported Secure Adult Attachment will account for greater

variance in measures of service to others than will measures of childhood

attachment. It was implied by the hypothesis that Secure Adult Attachment would be the best predictor in the equation of Horizontal Faith Maturity. This hypothesis was not supported. The equation explained only 5% of the variance and the overall effect of the equation was significant (F = 2.26; £. < .05). The most significant predictor of Horizontal Faith Maturity was Paternal Over Protection (t = 2.26; £. < .05). Secure Adult Attachment (t = 1.94; £. < .05) was the second best predictor of Horizontal Faith
