Having successfully completed this lesson of the Lift User Training Module, the participants
Knows how to evacuate a lift safely and responsibly and will on own initiative seek guidance when needed (Ability, basic level)
Note: Lesson 6 may be conducted as a coherent exercise covering learning objectives from lesson 6 and additional elements from other lessons where relevant.
OPERATION OF DOORS
Learning objectives:
The participants can explain how to operate doors due to emergency (Knowledge, intermediate level) The participants will take the responsibility to open the doors in emergency or out of safe zone (Ability, basic level)
The instructor shall:
Present how to open doors
Design and conduct learning activities where the learning objectives are practiced
Provide feedback on the participants’ profession al and human performance
The participant shall:
Engage in the practical training moments and receive feedback constructively
ELEMENT 6.2 - RESCUE AND EVACUATION PLAN
Learning objective:
The participants will take responsibility to follow rescue and evacuation plans and ensure safe shutdown of lift (incl. sending the right info to site lead, manufacturer, etc.) (Ability, basic level) The participants take initiative to apply guiding from relevant documents to carry out an emergency rescue in accordance with the chapter “Emergency descent” (Ability, basic level)
The instructor shall:
Present a rescue and evacuation plan
Demonstrate a safe shutdown procedure of the lift
Design and conduct learning activities where emergency descent procedure is practiced and a rescue and evacuation plan is applied
Provide feedback on the participants’ professional and human performance
The participant shall:
