ADVANCING THE INDUSTRY
The HRSouthwest Conference powered by DallasHR is one of the largest educational and networking events for HR professionals in the nation! This 2.5-day event provides HR professionals opportunities to connect with like-minded, HR-focused participants from across the nation to learn, network, and grow in the field of HR. Forced to pivot late in the year because of the pandemic, our first-ever virtual HRSouthwest Conference was held October 5 – 7, 2020. De- signing and hosting a virtual event was a new challenge for Chapter volunteers and staff. We are proud of our many volunteers who helped launch the virtual event.
Nearly 800 attendees experienced an exciting interactive virtual event with keynote speak- ers, networking events including mixology, yoga techniques, and Knowledge Hub educational “bites” prepared by exhibitors to share information about their products and services. Educational sessions chatter was busy with speaker hosted live Q&A and exhibitors and sponsors met 1:1 or in group settings to talk about their products and services. Virtual Conference attendees could earn up to 31 SHRM and HRCI recertification credit hours . Final survey results show the event was well received with a 95% net promoter score for the entire event. That means attendees would likely recommend this event to their colleagues and friends. Not bad for our first and hopefully last, entirely virtual HRSouthwest Conference.
