Work has just started in East Village, in Dublin 18’s Clay Farm, a 295-unit district heating (DH) project for Park Developments, which is being built by Walls Construction. M&P will also be on site later this year with Park Developments in Sutton, working on another apartment development totalling 155 units. In addition, handover of phase one of Blackwood Square for Cosgrave Developments, a 330-unit DH project, will be taking place, after the project was delayed by Covid-19. M&P is also handing over a large part of Hamilton Gardens for Walls Construction. This is a 485-unit DH project, which is due to be completed by the end of 2022. negotiations are ongoing with some large- scale projects with high profile clients, and we are a long way into discussions with these. Each one is extending to a three- year construction schedule right now, so between these and what is already live on site, I am pleased with what is in front of me and the company.”

Speaking about foreseen challenges this year, Mark added: “It’s no secret that Covid and world energy issues have put serious pressure on the suppliers and the supply chain. Skilled labour and trades people are also in short supply and all that together does focus the mind a bit more on how much work I feel we can take on at one time. “We are very cautious on what we take on right now,” he continued. “I won’t let our standard of work slip - I always have and still want to under promise and over deliver.” “The pipeline for the year is looking strong right now. Tendering and negotiations are ongoing with some large-scale projects with high profile clients.”
