Have fun while also hearing the Gospel, making godly friendships and growing deep in your faith. Hundreds of teens make decisions for Christ each summer at The Island!
Florida Youth Camp is located just 30 minutes north of Tampa. Each week of camp is specifically designed for the age group to which it ministers. Endless activities and high-energy worship, engaging speakers, brand new friends and a connection with God like you’ve never experienced before all make for the adventure of a lifetime! Junior Camp ages 6-12 and Teen Camp ages 12-18.
FAMILY: Camp for the Whole Family! Choose from Word of Life Lodge or The Pines in Schroon Lake! These two facilities along with our Florida Conference Center offer messages from gifted speakers and musicians who will minister to you and your family as you relax and enjoy the beautiful Adirondacks. LIBERIA The very first youth camp here was held December 27-31, 2017. Over 100 young people came from three local churches and nine universities. Praise the Lord, 10 trusted Christ as their Savior, and 30 made a decision of dedication! NIGERIA Camping has been the biggest highlight here with four camps and 160 trained volunteers. More than 1,200 campers attended, and over 300 made decisions to trust Christ—WOW! Their first STORM event (Sending Teens Out to Reach the Masses) was held in Jos with 4 young people who accepted Christ as their Savior. MOZAMBIQUE The December camps had 304 campers and 57 trained volunteers! We are praising the Lord for 109 salvation decisions and 97 who re- dedicated their lives to Christ. KAMPALA, UGANDA Word of Life ran community and residential camps from December 10- 17, 2017 with over 237 campers from three different charity homes. Thanks to the support of friends like YOU, 36 of these young people made a life-changing decision to follow Christ! KIGALI, RWANDA The Word of Life Rwanda office opened in mid-2017. Over 100 teenagers came to the one-week camp that was held in December— and 18 of these campers trusted in Christ as their Savior!

The population here is more than 50% aged 25 and younger. What an opportunity to reach youth with the Gospel! Preparations are being made concerning the best way to enter, serve and develop this area. We are believing God to do exceedingly more than what we can dream or imagine! CAMP IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER
Every summer, over 10,000 children and teens make their way to one of our camps and get to hear the Good News about Jesus Christ—some for the first time ever. Last year, thanks to friends like YOU over 1,800 young people received a special scholarship to attend camp in New York or Florida. Many of these precious young people—who never could have afforded to come to camp on their own—committed their lives to Jesus as they heard about His love in the safe, caring environment of Word of Life camp. Now they have been changed forever through the transforming power of the Gospel!
Sherry wrote to us last spring about her foster son, Randall: “Randall is a foster child in desperate need of the Lord. His biological family has only shown him a life of drugs, alcohol abuse and neglect. I have sent other foster children in the past and every one of them gave their lives to Christ while there. My prayer is that Randall will be given this opportunity also!” ~ Sherry Week 1, Day 6… Praise the Lord, look what we received a few weeks later: “I grew up not knowing what Christianity is. All I really knew was drugs, alcohol and money. Until now, that’s all I cared about. I thought of suicide most of the time. I hated life. I didn’t want to come to camp. Week 1, Day 6 is when I got saved. I want you to know, because of you, I am saved. Thank you very much.” ~ Randall
