W hat started in a yoga studio in 2018 has grown into one of the New Orleans area’s leading resources for pelvic health care. Since taking ownership of NOLA Pelvic Health in 2023, physical therapists Claire Lusig- nan and Ashley Holstein have continued to build on the practice’s reputation for compassionate, individualized care while helping bring greater awareness of pel- vic floor therapy throughout the region. At NOLA Pelvic Health, the focus extends beyond treatment. The clinic has created an environment where patients feel comfortable discussing concerns that are often difficult to talk about, from preg- nancy and postpartum recovery to pelvic pain, bladder and bowel issues. Every visit is one-on-one, allowing therapists to develop meaningful relationships with patients and tailor care to their individual goals.

That sense of connection is intentional. Rather than feeling like a traditional medical office, NOLA Pelvic Health em- phasizes warmth, comfort, and genuine human connection. Patients are welcomed into a space designed to make them feel heard, supported, and under- stood from the moment they arrive. “We want patients to feel like they’re more than just an appointment on the schedule,” Lusignan says. “We take the time to get to know them, understand their goals, and support them throughout their journey.” That approach has helped the practice grow largely through word-of-mouth re- ferrals, as former patients share their ex- periences with friends, family members, and healthcare providers throughout the community. “People often share some of their most vulnerable experiences with us,” Holstein says. “Being a trusted re-
