F ive editions ago, Faces & Places® began with a simple idea: celebrate the people and businesses that make our commu- nities stronger. Today, that vision has grown into something far more meaningful. Each edition becomes another chapter in the story of the communities we proudly serve, preserving the people, passions, and places that deserve to be remembered. What you’ll find inside these pages isn’t just a collection of profiles. It’s a snapshot of a community at this moment in time. You’ll meet entrepreneurs chasing dreams, families building lasting legacies, organizations creating positive change, and businesses that have become trusted cornerstones. Together, these stories remind us that every community is shaped by people who choose to invest their time, talent, and heart into making it better. Our team approaches every issue with one goal in mind: to create something worthy of keeping. From the photography and design to every carefully written story, each page is thoughtfully crafted to become more than a magazine. We hope it’s something you’ll dis- play, revisit, and share with family and friends for years to come. Producing Faces & Places® is one of the most rewarding projects we create each year because it allows us to shine a light on the people who often don’t ask for recognition but certainly deserve it. Their stories inspire us, strengthen connections, and remind us that thriving communities are built one relationship at a time. To everyone who opened their doors, shared their story, supported this publication, and continues to believe in the value of local story- telling, thank you. Your willingness to be part of this project is what makes each edition special. As you turn these pages, I hope you discover someone new, recon- nect with familiar faces, and gain an even greater appreciation for the community you call home. Thank you for making Faces & Plac- es® part of your story.

were able to return three weeks later,” Latino recalls. “All Star was the first gymnastics facility to reopen after the hurricane. We offered a place for kids to attend day camp while their families worked to rebuild their lives.” This deep commitment to the commu- nity and the families they serve has helped All Star Gymnastics become the premier training program it is today. “All Star has grown into a first-class training facility that provides both beginner and advanced training in a safe, encouraging environment,” Latino explains. “Our talented coaching staff and small class sizes set us apart. We’re passionate about gymnastics and dedi- cated to helping each athlete reach their full potential while supporting families

All Star Gymnastics has trained multiple state, regional, and national champions, as well as numerous college athletes from universities such as Louisiana State University, Penn State University, University of Illinois, Iona University, and Springfield College. The All Star team stays active in the community, regularly volunteering at events that benefit children and offering their time and expertise at area gymnastics competitions. “New Orleans is home,” Latino says. “We’re truly a family-oriented business, and we work hard to meet the needs of every family we serve.”

WOMEN IN STEM The Face of Cabrini High School

Anne Argus Dipaola

T hrough innovative academics, industry partnerships, and hands-on learning experiences, Cabrini High School has emerged as a leader in preparing young women for success in STEM. That preparation begins early. Nearly one-third of Cabrini students par- ticipate in HOSA, one of the nation’s premier organizations for future health- care professionals. Students as young as eighth grade travel to compete at the Louisiana HOSA State Leadership Conference, where Cabrini consistently earns top honors in categories ranging from behavioral health and research to cardiovascular and sports medicine. At the center of Cabrini’s science pro- gram is its Anatomage Table, a state- of-the-art learning platform typically found in hospitals and leading medical schools. Widely regarded as the crown jewel of the school’s STEM program, it allows students to explore anatomy through immersive virtual dissec- tion and advanced 3D visualization. Its capabilities extend far beyond the human body, supporting investigations

in physics, chemistry, earth science, as- tronomy, and biology. Students explore concepts ranging from jet propulsion and sound waves to geology and black holes through interactive experiences few schools can offer. As the only high school in New Orle- ans situated on a waterfront campus, Cabrini also transforms Bayou St. John into an extension of the classroom. Through environmental science studies, kayaking expeditions, fishing activities, and collaborations with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and City Park, students engage directly with local ecosystems and gain first- hand experience in scientific observa- tion, conservation, and environmental stewardship. Cabrini’s partnerships transform learning into professional opportuni- ties. Through Ochsner Health, students shadow physicians, engage with health- care professionals, and gain firsthand insight into careers in medicine. Through WYES, students work with professional-grade broadcast cameras, lighting systems, audio mixing consoles,

digital editing software, and technical production equipment. Additional local partnerships introduce students to ro- botics, engineering design, coding, and innovation challenges that strengthen critical thinking and problem-solving skills while opening doors to future internships and careers. Cabrini’s commitment to STEM excel- lence continues in mathematics through a robust Advanced Placement program featuring college-level coursework across advanced scientific and math- ematical disciplines. Through dual enrollment opportunities with LSU and participation in Mu Alpha Theta and other competitive mathematics pro- grams, students cultivate the analytical reasoning and intellectual discipline that drive success in STEM fields. Rooted in faith and inspired by the pioneering spirit of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, Cabrini students are shaping the future of women in STEM. Since taking ownership of NOLA Pelvic Health in 2023, physical therapists Claire Lusig- nan and Ashley Holstein have continued to build on the practice’s reputation for compassionate, individualized care while helping bring greater awareness of pel- vic floor therapy throughout the region. At NOLA Pelvic Health, the focus extends beyond treatment. The clinic has created an environment where patients feel comfortable discussing concerns that are often difficult to talk about, from preg- nancy and postpartum recovery to pelvic pain, bladder and bowel issues. As the practice continues to grow, its mission remains the same: helping Louisiana residents understand that pelvic health concerns are common, treatable, and nothing they have to face alone. THEATRE Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts and Encore Studio of Dance, Music & Theatre Kelly Fouchi The Face of PHOTO CREDIT: FOREVER FAURIE PHOTOGRAPHY

F or more than three decades, Kelly Fouchi has been a driving force in the New Orleans performing arts community. As an Artistic Director, Producer, Director, Choreographer, Educa- tor, Performer, and owner of two performing arts organizations, she has shaped thousands of young artists through Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts and Encore Studio of Dance, Music & Theatre. Her leadership and impact have been widely recognized. NOLA Family Magazine readers voted Rivertown Theater “Family Theater Program” in both 2024 and 2025, and Kelly was recently named “Theater Educa- tor of the Year” by the Crescent City Theatre Awards. What sets Kelly apart is the way she bridges classroom training with real-world experience. At Encore, students study acting, voice, and dance in a nurturing, multi-disciplinary environment that builds confidence, discipline, and collaboration. At Rivertown, those skills are applied in professional-level productions on both the children’s and mainstage seasons. Kelly has brought to life many of Rivertown’s most beloved audience favorites, including Newsies , Matilda , The Music Man , Hairspray , Billy Elliot , Annie , Frozen , Mean Girls , and the Junie B. Jones and Fancy Nancy series. Kelly believes theatre is far more than rehearsing and performing. She fosters a culture of community through theme days, preshow rituals, big/little mentorships, and cast gatherings that teach young performers to support one another and celebrate each other’s talents. Her students grow not only as artists, but as leaders and compassion- ate teammates. She also nurtures the next generation of theatre professionals. Teens take on backstage roles in choreography, teaching, stage manage- ment, running crew, and operating technical systems. Through her student-led Raise Your Voice program, young performers have raised more than $60,000 for local charities while producing their own theatrical events. Kelly’s impact spans generations. Her students have gone on to BFA programs, national tours, theme parks, and careers across the enter- tainment industry, while others enter fields like medicine, education, and technology, crediting their theatre training, and Kelly’s mentor- ship, for their confidence and leadership/communication skills. Many return to mentor the next generation, carrying forward the enthusi- asm for the arts she helped ignite. To Kelly and the performers she works with, theatre is a home, a training ground, and a community. Its impact lives on in the young people who carry their love of the arts into the world, finding their voice, their confidence, and their place on its stage. Kelly manages both Rivertown and Encore with her husband, Marc. Their daughters, Tess and Savannah, grew up on the Rivertown stage and continue to pursue careers in the arts, through college studies, and working as an Equity stage performer at Walt Disney World.
