Awards ceremony tickets sell out The hottest ticket in town!
Tickets for the 34th BIFA Freight Service Awards ceremony luncheon sold like hot cakes when they went on sale in October with demand outstripping capacity. For those of you lucky enough to secure tickets, the team at BIFA look forward to welcoming you and your guests to The Brewery on Thursday 19 January for an afternoon of networking and celebration. At the ceremony we will be joined by special guest Kevin Keegan OBE, quite simply THE footballing superstar of the 1970s. With his famous ‘bubble’ perm, the Yorkshire- born striker was an icon both for Liverpool and England. The attention that came his way was not without merit, for Keegan was a dynamic attacking force who can take much of the credit for the trophies that arrived at Anfield between 1971 and 1977. From the moment he pulled on the Liverpool shirt in 1971 to his unexpected return to the game with Fulham, Kevin Keegan has been a pivotal influence on the way football is played, managed and perceived in Britain. Keegan’s glittering career included domestic and European success at Liverpool and SV Hamburg, European Footballer of the Year Awards, and glorious spells with Southampton and Newcastle United, before returning to Newcastle as manager and then eventually managing England. Finalists in the 11 categories of the BIFA Freight Service Awards 2022 will receive their certificates from Kevin Keegan and BIFA President Sir Peter Bottomley in front of over 500 guests. After lunch, we will hear stories from Keegan’s playing days before the announcement and celebration of the award winners.
