[134] Theatre Games and Improvisation 40 Participants Explore a fast-paced, fun and interactive experience using a series of theatre games often used by actors and improv companies. No experience necessary, just a sense of adventure and willingness to have fun! Participants should dress comfortably.

Use your imagination to envision what’s not yet but can be, and take the initiative to make it happen. We will use a Play-Makers playbook to share stories about our own ideas and learn about other Play- Makers from around the world. We will also enjoy making a collaborative art piece together. [128] Science of Star Wars 140 Participants Learn about the science of different types of planets, spaceships and more inspired by Star Wars. We will also have a chat about engineering while making light sabers. [129] Sparty On! Photo Editing With Free Online Tools 30 Participants Learn how to use web-based apps to edit, retouch and combine images. We’ll create a Spartan-themed collage and talk about careers that use these types of tools. [130] STEM Building Tours 20 Participants Enjoy a 30-minute walking tour of the STEM Teaching and Learning facility. What once was the power plant for the University, now encompasses state-of-the-art technologies and spaces for STEM education and collaboration.

[135] Time Travel — from MAC to MSU 20 Participants

Rewind the clock! See the past — in the present. Enjoy an enlightening stroll around the beautiful historic area of campus. We’ll take a walking tour through the history of the ever-changing campus and see how student life has changed from the 1800s. We’ll travel through time from the oldest point on campus to one of the newest – and imagine the future beyond!

[136] Tour de Campus by Bike! 15 Participants

Explore MSU’s beautiful campus by bike. We’ll see all the newer bike-friendly facilities that have been installed in the past decade or so that you might not know about. [137] Tour of Lasch Family Golf Center — Home to MSU Golf 50 Participants Tour the home of the MSU men’s and women’s golf teams. The Lasch Family Golf Center is one of the most acclaimed facilities in collegiate golf. [138] Traveling Technology Free 25 Participants Have you ever wondered how people traveled without GPS? Do you think you could find your way around using just a map? In this class you will learn how to read an Atlas, reach destinations using maps, use tools to plan a road trip and receive take-home material to use on your next adventure. [139] Veterinary Nursing — A Bandaging Lab 30 Participants Work through a case where a veterinary patient experiences a broken leg. We will discuss findings and patient care from the veterinary nurses perspective. We’ll bandage the legs of stuffed puppies demonstrating the bandage techniques required by surgery.

[131] The Hidden Maze 10 Participants

In an escape room format, students will explore disability, impacts of disability and common barriers in society, and engage with an experience of what it means to navigate our society with a disability.

[133] The Spirit in the Stick 12 Participants

Lacrosse is one of the most popular sports in the U.S., but did you know it’s the national summer sport of Canada? Learn about the history of the creator’s game and practice lacrosse basics! Arm and throwing skills can be taught to wheelchair participants with upper body mobility, but will be held on grass surfaces. Boys and girls under the age of 12 preferred. Not suitable for advanced athletes. Please bring your own stick.
