ALASKA

July 27-August 7, 2018 $6,295 per person, double occupancy $7,745 per person, single occupancy

Due to high interest and the success of the 2017 trip, we’ve decided to offer members another opportunity to go deep into the heart of the Alaska. We’re not talking about watching the massive mountain landscape pass you by as a ship cuts through the sparkling Alaskan waterways. Not this time. On this tour, you’ll have the opportunity to experience what few will ever see. There are no formal dinners, no mega-malls, no crowds (unless you count the wildlife), and no traffic—just the most unspoiled land and seascapes in North America at every turn. The journey will begin with a flight to Anchorage, where we’ll meet our driver and guide who will stay with the group through the entire trip. We’ll overnight here before the rest of our grand adventure begins. The trip includes a visit to Homer, the Halibut fishing capital of the world, where a local fisherman will tell us about the harbor,

fishing as a livelihood, and the marine wildlife. In Seward, explore the face of a glacier, cruise in the Kenai National Park, and experience the thrill and power of a dog sled ride! The group will then transfer to Girdwood via scenic railway with dinner on board. Girdwood will present Alaska’s scenery from much different angles; soaring above the tree line in an aerial tram and then plunging below ground to Crow Creek Mine to learn about gold mining.
