DC Digital Ltd was commissioned by Braham Electrical to conduct BIM modelling for the installation of electrical services at Ashbourne Community National School. Tasked with coordination of services for the project, the firm’s remit included Construction Operations Building Information Exchange (COBie) data production and delivery, and as-installed model delivery. A high level of detail went into the project, said DC Digital Managing Director Dale Curragh, with strict adherence to BIM processes and a focus on efficiency and collaboration with all stakeholders. Working with the main contractor was a smooth and efficient process, conducted fully remote via online meetings and file sharing and collaboration on common data
environments. “We worked on this project and another one in the same framework with Braham simultaneously,” said Dale. Established in 2023, DC Digital offers digital modelling and drawing services for the M&E industry and has already amassed a wide portfolio of projects spanning healthcare, data centres, hotels and commercial fit-outs across the island of Ireland, GB and Germany. Its team brings more than 25 years’ experience in delivering models and drawings for the construction industry. “With the demand and desire for digitisation within the sector ever increasing, DC Digital is well positioned to deliver for any scale of project from simple drawing creation to complex model coordination,” said Dale. Services include BIM modelling and
coordination of MEP services, BIM model federation and clash detection, MEP drawing production using Autodesk AEC suite of software, MEP As-installed drawing production based on project/site mark-ups, and Pipework spool drawing production for off-site pre-fabrication. Having recently moved into a new office to accommodate its expanding team, DC Digital operates a four-day working week alongside hybrid/flexible working. “DC Digital is well positioned to deliver for any scale of project from simple drawing creation to complex model coordination.”
