Food : Each week we provide water, eggs, fruit, and pancakes to those in our line.
Service Platform : We have been able to partner with many different groups in San Diego to give them the opportunity to serve a group of people they may not otherwise interact with. We believe our program is about creating a safe space where one human can meet and connect with another. Children's Ministry : Through our program, "Rebecca's Chance", we have been able to work with children to help them better themselves academically while providing the same food and friendship test program, "Pancake Peeps", has modeled for adults. This ministry allows us to create friendships with the students, while still focusing on the skills they need to step our confidently in new situations. Job Empowerment : Our newest program is centered around empowering the women we work with to make proactive moves for themselves while giving back to the people around them who are in need. All products the women make go to the children we work with as well as the people we serve breakfast to. After we will sell the rest of the items to the public. By making this product with the intent to give away half, we are giving the women an opportunity to have real impact within their community and empowering them to make a difference in their own life.

ORGAN I ZAT IONAL STRUCTURE
Recent University of San Diego Alumni, Mary is a full time teacher in Chula Vista, Ca. Her heart for those the Bible identifies as "the least of these" stems from the influence of her mom and dad. Her vision is to create a space where all people feel known and have the freedom to become their truest self.
Gabriela Grabowski Treasurer of Sawubona Director of KINDNESS
The driving force behind the passion of both Mary and Joanna. Growing up in a community where people worked to survive rather than thrive, Gabriela always dreamed of being successful in order to help others. As she established herself in all her business endeavors, she never forgot about the society she came from. The structure of the way Sawubona raises money has come largely from events Gabriela has created throughout her daughter's lives. Sawubona is a manifestation of the lessons and passions Gabriela shared with her daughters.

Pancakes are not only the means for feeding the body, they also help us feed the souls of those we meet. Through the provision of pancakes, we build relationships and invite those we serve to share their story. Sharing stories reminds our homeless brothers and sisters, as well as their children, of their unique value to everyone. Pancake Peeps also provides an important platform for those who wish to volunteer. Our “flapjackers” frequently become committed advocates for the homeless friends they met through volunteering with Pancake Peeps.

Our newest program
Empowering women to empower others
KINDNESS is our newest program, and our first program unrelated to food. This program started out of an attempt to give the ladies we feed at Pancake Peeps something to do throughout the week. Most of the women are elderly and cannot work traditional jobs, so they asked us to give them little crafts to do. Thus, KINDNESS was born. Our Co- founder Gabriela realized one of our friends' biggest needs was toiletries to wash their bodies, so she decided to buy the supplies in bulk and task the women themselves to bottle them and distribute them. These bottles will also be available to the public through online and direct purchases as a means to make the KINDNESS brand self sustainable.
K I NDNESS - THE BRAND

Each year we spend around $ 19,580 on all three of our programs. Our goal is to raise the money it would take to operate Pancake Peeps, Rebecca's Chance, and KINDNESS for a year.

Clothing Throughout the year we consistenly get asked for specific items of clothing. The items we get asked for the most are jackets, socks, underwear, and toiletries. Because of this we are striving to give each person at the tent a backpack full of the most essential necessities every Christmas season. In order to achieve this goal we rely heavily on donations of these items or money to buy the items.
