A dozen! It’s a goal.
WBA WINNERS On Wednesday 12 th October a team of aspiring footballers travelled to WBA to compete in a Year 3&4 girls football competition. The morning began with a warm up and a short training session with some of the WBA coaches. The team then took to the field to compete against other local schools. There were a few nerves as some of the girls had not played in a competitive match before, but the nerves soon turned to joy as they scored goal after goal. Eden Griffith (3K) came out top goal scorer with a huge total of 12 goals! The team won 7 and drew 3 out of their 10 matches and finished the day unbeaten! Abbey Junior proudly walked away with a medal for showing great teamwork. Well done girls! TOP 3 WOW is a pupil-led initiative where children record how they get to school each day on our interactive WOW Travel Tracker. If they actively travel to school, and by this, I mean walk, cycle, scoot or use a local Park and Stride, at least once a week for a month, they get rewarded with one of our collectable badges. It’s that easy!
