Early start! Sunshine and sea.
CONTRAST Year 2 had an exciting trip to the beach in glorious sunshine, just before half-term. It was an early start, but all the children were excited and raring to go. As soon as we arrived at the beach, we completed the most important part of the day : packed lunch. Once the children were full, we ran down to the beach and started to play in the sand. There were sandcastles, roads, pictures and faces drawn all over. Then it was time to go for a ride on the donkeys. The children's faces were a picture as they went for a walk and then a trot along the beach. The children managed to work up an appetite for their final treat, so it was then time to go for a stroll along the Grand Pier- looking out for human and physical features along the way. They enjoyed a delicious whippy ice cream as they sat and looked out to sea. The children were a credit to the school with their excellent behaviour and it was lovely to get comments from passers by stating how well behaved they were. Thank you parent volunteers, for joining us and helping the children enjoy their visit.
