- SPECIAL EDITION - SPECIAL EDITION -- SPECIAL EDITION -

GOLDEN SPOON Today marks the end of an era at Abbey Junior School, as our school cook Elaine hangs up her apron and wooden spoon for the last time. After more than 6 years of cooking for students, staff, and visitors, Elaine is retiring, and the whole school will miss her. Her dedication and culinary skills have made her an integral part of the school community, and she will be fondly remembered. "Elaine has been a special part of the school for many years," said headteacher Dr. Kentish. "She has been a loyal and hardworking employee, and her presence will be greatly missed." Elaine's colleague and friend, Mr. Edwards, echoed Dr K’s sentiment. "I have been working with Elaine for the past 6 years, and she is an absolute joy to be around. She always has a smile on her face, and a kind word to say. She will be dearly missed. She’s like everyone’s favourite Granny and she makes a cracking bacon sandwich”
