THE
Abbey pupil returns! Back in the hall
NOSTALGIC Every month, the children at Abbey have the pleasure of enjoying fun and theatrical performances from Open the Book. The group is made up of members from Warley Methodist Church, St. Hilda's, and St. Mary's. One of the team members is Peter, who used to attend Abbey himself! He brought in a photo from Christmas 1958, taken in the Junior Hall, where he can be seen in the third row from the front, third child in from the right. Peter's visit back to the school sparked many wonderful memories, and we thank him for sharing his picture and memories with us.
Thanks to Mrs. Flanagan for the story.
CAD PUPPET On Tuesday 21st March, the Australian Puppet Workshop was a huge success! Parents, carers and family members were invited to help the Year 2 children with their final puppet creations. The children had been hard at work designing and creating their puppets using CAD and practising their running stitch. The end result? An array of amazing Australian animals, including a dingo, koala, snake and kangaroo. Some of the children even put on their own puppet shows afterwards! Year 2 staff would like to thank all parents for coming in to school and taking the time to help the children. It was truly a fantastic day!
Thanks to Miss. Stocking for the story.
PARENT GOVERNOR Mrs Jodie Ternent has been appointed as our new Infant Parent Governor. Congratulations to her and thank you to the other candidates who put themselves forward. Her first meeting will be the summer term full governing body.
