Smiling cookie campaign benefits Winchester Hospital

WINCHESTER | A little bit of sweet Christmas cheer arrived early for a regional hospital. The Winchester District Memorial Hospital Foundation (WDMH) welcomed the presentation of more than $7500 from Tim Hortons staff in Winchester, Morrisburg, and Long Sault. The money represents all the Smile cookies sold at the three TimHortons restaurants during the franchise’s annual Smile Cookie campaign to raise funds for local community programs and projects. TheWinchester District hospital serves all surrounding communities and also has had patients from Russell Township. Its foundation exists to provide financial support for present and future hospital programexpansions and needs.
