EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & ACHIEVEMENTS Essential criteria: • Degree in a related discipline (A/IC) Desirable criteria: • Chartered Engineer/Incorporated Engineer (A/I/C) KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE Essential criteria: • Experience of energy management (A/I) • Good working knowledge of building services sys- tems (A/I) • Knowledge of current energy, sustainability, net zero and related legislation industry best practice and associated issues (A/I) • Experience of financial management within a large organisation (A/I) • Ability to analyse and present technical and finan- cial information in a succinct format to a variety of audiences (A/I) • Experience of developing and implementing energy and sustainability policies for large organisations/ existing estates (A/I) • Experience of managing cultural change (A/I) • Line management of environmental staff (A/I) Desirable criteria: • Experience of working in the Higher Education Sec- tor (A/I) PLANNING & ORGANISING • Experience of Project Management (A/I) • The ability to deliver on target and meet deadlines (A/I)

Well-developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills for working across all areas of the university estate (A/I) • Ability to deal with issues/problems in a friendly and open manner (A/I) • Excellent communication, negotiating and influenc- ing skills (A/I) • Ability to communicate sustainability-related infor- mation to a variety of audiences (A/I) LIAISON AND NETWORKING • Ability to work in a complex organisation with multi- ple internal and external stakeholders and manage teams of internal parties, external consultants and contractors and project teams (A/I)

Good IT skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office software packages and energy related software (A/I)
