Larocque en 2021 et a commencé à l’aménager pour l’utilisation des sentiers récréatifs d’hiver et d’été avec l’aide du Comité consultatif du Bois Larocque. Le comité et le Club Optimiste d’Alfred orga- nisent maintenant un événement d’accueil officiel pour le nouveau sentier récréatif le 21 février, de midi à 15 h. Le chalet de patinage situé à proximité sera ouvert à tous ceux qui ont besoin de se réchauffer avant de partir sur le sentier ou à MFVSSFUPVS/PVTSBQQFMPOTBVYQBSUJDJQBOUT qu’ils doivent respecter les directives de santé publique en matière de distance à parcourir sur les sentiers. Il y aura également un tirage au sort à 14 h 45.
Il y a un nouvel endroit pour les loisirs de plein air d’hiver et d’été au sentier des Boisés Larocque à Alfred. Les représentants du canton d’Alfred- Plantagenet ont annoncé l’ouverture, le 14 février, du sentier des Boisés Larocque dans le boisé Larocque. Situé derrière le château d’eaudu village d’Alfred, le nouveau site de loisirs de plein air offre plus de trois kilo- mètres de sentiers pour le ski de fond, deux kilomètres de sentiers dédiés à la raquette et un sentier en boucle de deux kilomètres pour la randonnée pédestre d’hiver et d’été. CLARENCE CREEK MAN SAVES LIFE IN ROCKLAND
man for nearly 10 minutes until paramedics arrived, at which point they restarted Brise- bois’s heart with a defibrillator and loaded him into the ambulance. Brisebois says he has no memory of the event, recalling nothing until he awoke in the hospital. “They told me I was in front of the banana TUBOE u#SJTFCPJTTBJEi&WFOJGZPVBTLFE me from here to there, I have no clue. It’s a blank.” Brisebois was taken to the Heart Institute at the University of Ottawa, where a speedy recovery soothed the minds of friends and family. According to Louis Trudeau, a friend of Brisebois, he opened his eyes and moved his limbs that same day; by Sunday, he was awake and communicating, although sluggishly. “He’s doing very well, the heart institute EJEBOBNB[JOHKPC uTBJE5SVEFBVi8FSF all ecstatic, no permanent brain damage. He’s back home as of the fifth of February.” Brisebois is very grateful that Dollimont was nearby and offered his help, but Dolli- mont says it was a stroke of luck he was even in the store to begin with. Although he used to live in Rockland and worked at that same store, Dollimont moved away five years ago, and he was only in the area because he purchased a house in the area with his fiancée. He was in the right place at the right time, completely by coincidence. “For me to go into that store is very unlikely,” Dollimont said.

On January 21, 74-year-old Pierre Brise- bois was shopping at the Food Basics in Rockland when he collapsed in the middle of the produce area. Austin Dollimont was nearby and went over to offer his assistance, thinking that Brisebois had simply fallen over. Instead, he found that Brisebois wasn’t
breathing and had no heartbeat, having suffered a heart attack right there in the grocery store. “I thought I was going to come help you up,” he said. “And then it got really serious.” Dollimont instinctively fell back on his first aid training. He performed CPR on the

The Clarence Castors won their last two games to end the 2021-2022 season on an eleven-game winning streak, defea- ting the Gatineau-Hull Volant 4-1 on Friday before beating the South Grenville Rangers 2-1 on Sunday to clinch the top spot in the NCJHL general standings. Jordan Croll-Stevenson notched a goal and a helper in the win against the Volant. Xavier Brunet, Nicholas Gaumont and Jacob Servant also scored goals in the victory and Robert Brisson, Philippe Plante and Alex Ross all scored assists. Jaddus Savoie and Jacob Servant scored goals for the Castors against the Rangers, while Xavier Brunet, Alderic Denis, Nicholas Gaumont and Nikolas Guindon got assists in the victory. The Almonte Inferno will face-off against the Metcalfe Jets on Friday to determine the eighth seed, and the winner of that game will face the Castors in a best-of-five series to kick off the postseason. Castors’ Head Coach Tim Kosch wouldn’t have predicted such a successful season for his team at the beginning of the year and is very proud of the work they accomplished: “I can’t say that it was our plan all along to finish first in the general standings this year, but our guys worked hard and we got some good bounces here and there. En février, Mois du cœur, la Fondation des maladies du cœur et de l’AVC axe sa campagne de sensibilisation sur cette problématique en hausse. Décou- vrez ses facteurs de risque et les symp- tômes à surveiller. FACTEURS DE RISQUE L’insuffisance cardiaque apparaît lorsque le cœur est abîmé ou affaibli. Sa capacité de pompage devient alors insuffisante pour assurer la circulation adéquate du sang dans le corps, notamment durant une activi- té physique intense ou dans une situation de stress. Ce diagnostic touche particulièrement les personnes ayant fait un infarctus du myo- carde (crise cardiaque) ou qui ont une pres- sion artérielle élevée. Toutefois, d’autres affections, infections et habitudes de vie sont liées à l’insuffisance cardiaque, par exemple : • Les maladies des valvules cardiaques; • La myocardite;

You don’t want to ruin your travel plans by acciden- tally eating or drinking something that makes you ill. Remember, even if you’ve received the recommended vaccinations and taken preventive medication, you won’t be protected against common pathogens and bacteria. You should still adhere to the following tips to avoid getting sick: • Only eat fruits and vegetables that are cooked and peeled • Avoid raw food, especially shellfish and salads • Don’t eat food that’s left sitting out uncovered • Only drink water that’s boiled or bottled and opened in front of you • Skip the ice cubes unless you’re sure they’re made with decontaminated water • Avoid unpasteurized dairy products • Don’t eat food from street cart vendors If you’re careful about what you eat and drink, it’s likely you’ll remain healthy when you travel overseas.

• Minimum 1 an d’expérience dans le domaine des soins de santé; • Expérience en loisir auprès des personnes âgées, un atout majeur; • Connaissance des logiciels Word et Excel, MED e-care un atout; • Sens de l’organisation jumelé à de solides aptitudes en gestion du temps; • Solides aptitudes à la résolution de problèmes; • Comprend, parle, écrit et lis le français, le bilinguisme est un atout; • Triple vaccination contre la Covid-19. Taux horaire de 26.85$ à 32.64$
