JIM BEAM HILL PLATE The Hill Plate, sponsored by Jim Beam, celebrates the heritage of Flemington’s Hill, the original natural vantage point over the racecourse. Ever since, The Hill has been one of Flemington’s favourite locations, with the best views for the general public. With the auction of the adjacent ‘Bagotville Estate’ in 1881, Secretary Henry Byron Moore helped the VRC purchase extra land and extend the Hill Reserve.
