After 18 years leading Simon & Associates, Inc., a green building consult- ing firm she founded in 1994, she joined Thornton Tomasetti in 2013 and is responsible for leading its U.S. West Coast building sustainability efforts and for managing complex green design and consulting projects. She is a green build- ing pioneer and a leading au- thority in the industry, and has consulted on numerous LEED projects, including some of the earliest to achieve certification in California. LEED v4 provides insight into the synergies within the building system, providing solutions for optimizing perfor- mance, and ultimately achiev- ing better environmental, eco- nomic and social outcomes. The U.S. Green Building Council’s Greenbuild International Con- ference and Expo is the world’s largest conference and expo dedicated to green building.
