Attachment of Earnings

CIPP SURVEY: PROPOSALS TO CHANGE THE WAY ATTACHMENT OF EARNINGS ORDERS ARE CALCULATED 25 May 2011 The Ministry Of Justice has issued a detailed consultation surrounding solving disputes in the county courts. The consultation 'Solving disputes in the county courts: creating a simpler, quicker and more proportionate system' sets out, and seeks views on, proposals to reform the civil justice system in the courts in England and Wales. Although the majority of the document looks at streamlining the actual enforcement measures themselves, there are three proposals which may affect payroll. The Policy team has created a short survey to collect your opinions on these three proposals. The survey closes on 31 May 2011 and should only take a few minutes to complete. Thank you in advance for taking the time to give your opinion. CIPP SURVEY RESPONSE: PROPOSALS TO CHANGE THE WAY ATTACHMENT OF EARNINGS ORDERS ARE CALCULATED 15 June 2011 The Policy team would like to thank all members who took the time to complete the recent survey on proposed changes to the AEO process. Having read the CIPP's response the Head of Enforcement Policy in The Ministry of Justice (MOJ) told us " We value the views of all your members, the information contained in your response is valuable to us as we will use it to inform our policy thinking on development of the Attachment of Earnings issues as we move forward to the next stage." The MOJ was also keen to point out that, despite being in the minority, they will also consider the viewpoints of those who had concerns about the proposals.
