Career Convos – words of advice

W hat do a computer manager, quantity surveyor, an architectural graduate and two medical students have in common? All have shared their career journey, aiming to guide and inspire senior College students. science specialist, project Career Convos has been launched this year to help point boys in the right direction as they mull over their career options and discover what is required to get there. “While some boys know the direction they plan to take,

they may not be aware of the challenges ahead, or how best to navigate their path,” Careers Advisor Chris Sellars says. “With Career Convos, we want to smooth that road or at least put boys on the right one in order to reach their career destination. Finding your passion can take time and the more information you have can more effectively inform your career choice. Hopefully, these Career Convos sessions will foster and clarify that discovery process.” Chris says that College has been

fortunate that supporters of the school and several Old Boys have been willing to give of their time and share their experiences – both locally and overseas – with

older students at breakfast sessions in Jacobs House.
