S everal generous gifts have jump-started the naming rights campaign for College’s new contemporary, multi-functional sports centre, Upper West. On track to be open for the school year in 2024, Upper West will feature two full-sized basketball courts, an erg training room, a fitness centre with changing facilities, classrooms, and meeting rooms. Sited at the rear of the College grounds and next to the school swimming pool, the two-storey structure will back onto the Botanic Gardens. A focal point for the school, it will offer more opportunities for the boys. Senior Development Manager Shelley Keach says that College will launch its Annual Appeal in September to raise funds for the complete refurbishment of the Upper grounds to return the site to a first-class condition. “Our initial fundraising drive has already had an impact as our Old Boys and wider community acknowledge the importance of ‘giving back’ to Christ’s College and supporting future generations of young sports
