OBJECT LESSONS continued the only perfect man, but He was more than a man. Peter was able to give the correct answer because Christ was his Saviour. When a person tells me his opin ion of Christ, I know whether or not he is a Christian. The person who is truly saved will give the true answer — that Christ is God’s Son, the Saviour of the world. The world’s greatest need is to recognize Christ as the Son of God, and to accept Him as Saviour. Whom do you say that He is? Jon. 23, 1955 T a l k and W a lk OBJECTS: A phonograph record and a compass. LESSON: I hold in my hand a phono graph record. It is easy for it to talk, but it never does anything else. This record reminds me of Peter when he said to Christ on the evening before the crucifixion: “ Although all shall be offended, yet will not I . . . If I should die with thee, I will not deny thee in any wise” (Mark 14:29, 31). Peter doubtless believed that he would be true to Christ, but he did not realize what it would cost him to be true to his Lord. Christ knew better than Peter what would happen. So, true to Christ’s words, Peter de nied his Master, saying that he did not even know Christ. However, the time came when Peter was changed. He was no long er like this record, but instead, he went straight, as a traveler would go, guided by his compass. Peter was no longer controlled by fear. On the contrary, he was controlled by the Spirit of God. It cost Peter something to go straight for Christ. In Acts 4:10 we read his brave words: “ Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye cruci fied, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand be fore you whole.” His boldness is further mentioned in the 13th verse: “ Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John,

I CAN TELL GOD THINGS-$1.50 by Robbie Trent Little things loom large to a child. The death of a pet, for instance, is a tragedy. These 31 devotional thoughts tie in very well with many of the experi ences, whether happy or sad, that a child is likely' to have. The thoughts are followed by a few lines of Scripture, which the child can easily remember. A simple prayer closes each beautifully-illustrated sec tion. Miss Trent knows and loves children, and has written 14 other books for them.
