bouche-trou!!!!!!!!!!!

Bike rider goes ballistic A cyclist let his temper get the best of him before Christmas and now he has an appoint- ment with a judge next month. The OPP received a call Dec. 23 about a minor collision incident involving a bicycle on Concession Street in the Village of Russell. A woman was backing up out of her driveway and was going slowly because the sur- rounding snow banks obscured her vision. As she was backing up, her vehicle hit a bicycle and its rider. The cyclist was not hurt by the bump but did get mad and threw his bike at the woman’s vehicle and caused “considerable damage” according to the police incident report. John R.J. Dinsmore, 29, of Russell is now charged with mischief with damage less than $5000 value. He is ordered to appear in provincial court in L’Orignal on Feb. 12. Domestic assault Police received a domestic disturbance call to finish off the year in Russell Township. A report came in Dec. 30 about a complaint from a residence on St-Pierre Road in Embrun. When police arrived they learned that an argument between a man and woman escalated into a fight. A 35-year-old Embrun man is now charged with spousal assault and is scheduled to ap- pear in provincial court in L’Orignal on Jan. 15. No names were released in the police inci- dent report. Drunk driver A Casselman man spent part of his New Year’s Eve celebration at the OPP station. An early-morning police patrol Jan. 1 near Ste-Euphémie Catholic Church discovered a vehicle parked in the church lot. When the OPP patrol car drew near the parked vehicle, it started to move forward. Police stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver. Both officers noted “a strong smell of alcohol” and other signs of impairment on the driver. They arrested the man and brought him to the station for a breathalyser test. The results led to charges of impaired driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level exceeding 80 milligrams against Luc Bingras, 54, of Casselman. He is scheduled for a court appearance on Jan. 22.
