THE

St Andrew Scotland

TRADITION DAY We had an amazing time on our Scottish Tradition Day, making tasty shortbreads. We took part in our very own indoor Highland Games, where we had to run, jump and throw! We also learned some brilliant Scottish dance routines, learning to ‘do - si –do’, whilst dancing as part of a group. The best part of the day was when we tasted the Scottish food. We had oat-cakes, Scottish crisps and Iron- Bru to wash it down. WEAVING WORKSHOP The children were delighted to have their parents alongside them when weaving their own kilts on St Andrew’s Day. Both parents and children worked together to carefully choose the colours that represented the values of their families. Strips of ribbon were then used to create their own Tartan patterns. The results were stunning and will soon be on display in the classrooms. Thank you for your continued support.

Thanks to Mrs. Johnson for both stories
