THE

Bunting Abbey helps Bearwood

STREET FESTIVAL Bearwood Street Festival is making a comeback. On Sunday 9 June, 2019, Bearwood's high street and surrounding spaces will host a day-long celebration for local residents and the wider public. In order to decorate the high street, our KS2 pupils have been involved with making bunting. After listening to a story, which explained the connection between Bearwood and the three-shires, every child has designed their own bunting about what their fourth- shire would be. An imaginary world! We have had some brilliant ideas and they have been drawn fantastically. Make sure you look out for our bunting above the celebrations on 9th June!

Thanks to Mrs Yale for the story.

FREE FALL ZUMBA

‘Lollipop Lin’ our ever-vigilant crossing patrol is raising money for ‘Breast cancer now’ and ‘Breast cancer care’. On the 26th May, there is a sponsored Zumbathon at The Bear pub; on 15th June she is leaping out of a plane for a parachute jump. Lin is herself in remission from breast cancer and would welcome any sponsorship for these two charities.
