The play is about a young New Yorker, a 13-year-old Jewish teenager, who will soon be celebrating his bar mitzvah. Unfortu- nately, his parents have recently divorced and he must follow his mother to the wide- open countryside of Wyoming. Art director Tara Renaud has done an impressive job bringing out the best from each young actor. Their voices, their act- ing and their overall professionalismmade

As soon as the play started, the audience couldn’t help but be awestruck by such an incredible display of talent by the students who played in 13 .The final presentation of the musical was held last April 26, after a week of presentations and several months of rehearsals.

The next play, titled Young Frankenstein , will be presented at Russell High School. Auditions will be held onMay 13 and 14, at 7:00 p.m. on both days. Auditions are open to anyone between the ages of 16 to 60.

Arts council preps for first agm Prescott-Russell’s arts scene has its first overall progress report in May when le Conseil des arts Prescott-Russell Arts Council (CAPRAC) holds its first annual general meeting since its inauguration in March 2014. The May 7 event is at the Station 4 Saisons conference centre at 1422 Lavigne Street in Hammond. Registered CAPRAC members attending will vote on candidates for five board director positions, along with other issues and proposals raised during the evening meeting. Non- members and interested residents of the region are welcome to attend and hear the progress report on CAPRAC’s efforts during the past year to promote and support the arts and culture sector of Prescott-Russell.
