Arsenal is in Kragujevac O d industrijskog ambijenta sta- rog Kneževog arsenala do lajna- pa koji spaja kultna svetska ime- na i regionalne favorite, „Arsenal fest“ i ovog leta pretvara Kragujevac u jed- nu od najuzbudljivijih tačaka regiona. Festival će biti održan od 25. do 27. ju- na, na dobro poznatoj lokaciji Knežev Arsenal i tri bine – „Main Stage“, „Gar- den Stage“ i „Explosive Stage“. Među najvećim imenima ovogodišnjeg izdanja izdvajaju se švedski indi-pop bend „The Cardigans“, pioniri elektron- ske scene „Underworld“, metal velikani „Paradise Lost“ i „Napalm Death“, kao i finski „power“ metal sastav „Sonata Ar- ctica“. Regionalnu scenu predvode Kon- strakta, S.A.R.S., „Partibrejkers“, „Re- petitori“, „Magnifico“... „Arsenal fest“ je tokom poslednjih go- dina izrastao u jedan od najvažnijih letnjih festivala u Srbiji i regionu, pre- poznatljiv upravo po atmosferi stare in- dustrijske zone pretvorene u koncertni prostor. Festival je član evropske festi- valske mreže „Yourope“, a 2019. godi- ne našao se i u užem izboru za Najbo- lji mali evropski festival.
F rom the industrial ambience of the old Prince’s Arsenal to a lineup that combines iconic international artists and regional favourites, Arsenal Fest will once again transform Kragujevac into one of the region’s most exciting destinations this summer. The festival will take place from 25 th to 27 th June at the renowned location of the Prince’s Arsenal and will include three stages: the Main Stage, Gar- den Stage and Explosive Stage. The standout performers who are among the biggest names at this year’s edition of the festival include Swedish rock band The Cardigans, electronic pioneers Under- world, metal greats Paradise Lost and Na- palm Death, as well as Finnish power metal band Sonata Arctica. Representatives of the regional scene are led by Konstrakt, S.A.R.S., Partibrejkers, Repetitori, Magnifico... Arsenal Fest has grown over recent years to become one of the most important summer festivals in Serbia and the region, recognis- able precisely thanks to the atmosphere of an old industrial zone transformed into a
concert venue. The festival is a member of YOUROPE, a pan-European network of mu- sic festivals. It was shortlisted for the 2019 award for the best small festival in Europe.
IZLOŽBA / EXHIBITION Tumačiti Goju / Interpreting Goya
N eobičan dijalog Fransiska Goje i Ota Bihalji-Merina oživeo je u galeriji Instituta „Servantes“ u Beogradu, na izložbi „Tumačiti Go- ju: Bihalji-Merinova vizija umetnosti“. Ova izložba istražuje zadivljenost koju je jugoslovenski likovni kritičar, pisac i svestrani kulturni radnik osećao prema delu Fransiska Goje, što je rezultiralo četvorotomnom studijom o tom špan- skom umetniku. Povod za ovu izložbu bilo je, između ostalog, i obeležavanje 280 godina od Gojinog rođenja.
T he unusual dialogue between Francisco de Goya and Otto Bi- halji-Merin has come to life at the gallery of the Cervantes Institute in Belgrade through the exhibition “In- terpreting Goya: Bihalji-Merin’s vision of art”. This exhibition explores the ad- miration felt by this Yugoslav art crit- ic, writer and all-round cultural work- er for the work of Francisco de Goya, which resulted in a four-volume study of the Spanish artist. This exhibition al- so commemorated the 280 th anniver- sary of Goya’s birth.
