Rockland’s annual gourmet festival return

hill from its original home setting at Rock- land’s Outaouais Golf Club to RiverRock Inn to serve another desire of festival patrons from previous years. “We have noticed over past years,” said Martine Dion, festival co-founder, “that many participants at the event want to con- tinue the festival after 11 p.m. So we plan to offer a Forfait Pétillant , which includes a pri- vate party for those who chose to stay the night at the inn.” The main event of the festival, for both those staying the night and those who are homeward bound after the show, remains a highlighting of local delicacies, wines, and beers, and those who produce and prepare them in an atmosphere that welcomes dis- covery for both the amateur and the profes- sional gourmet. “Those attending this year’s event will enjoy a first-class sushi bar courtesy of its sponsor, Brio Strategies,” said Bernadette Sarazin, festival co-founder. “Also, thanks to an enormous success last year, the Martini Bar will return, courtesy of the Charron Lan- glois legal firm as sponsor. La Cité collégiale will present this year’s taste-test buffet bar and also offer a free, and quick, hands-on gourmet tasting workshop in partnership with the college’s professional sommeliers and culinary artistes.” While the festival’s new partner, the River- Rock Inn, offers accommodations for those enjoying the after-hours soirée of the For- fait Pétillant, those festival patrons who may be in need of chauffeur service after
