became a highlight. Its lively Old Town squares, striking Baroque architecture, and relaxed Danube riverside walkways create a welcoming atmosphere. Strolling along cobblestone alleys to enjoying sweeping views from

the Lone Star State’s rich history, gorgeous architecture, beautiful landscapes, and iconic cuisine. My trip began with an exciting tour of the Johnson Space Center before continuing on to vibrant San Antonio. At our hotel right on the River Walk, I was truly immersed in the city’s lively atmosphere and culture. Travelers will also be able to learn firsthand why San Antonio has been named a UNESCO City of Gastronomy!

to exploring Garden of the Gods National Monument and Mesa Verde National Park, I truly felt immersed in the landscapes that earn Colorado its reputation as one of the most scenic states. The tour kicked off with an unforgettable talk by Leon Littlebird. Hearing him share Colorado folklore and music gave me a deeper appreciation for the state’s cultural roots and set the perfect tone for the adventure ahead.

to experience Bratislava firsthand. See the highlights of the city, sample a local pastry, and enjoy time wandering the city at your own pace. With other iconic cities on the route like Prague, Dürnstein, Vienna, Budapest, and more, this adventure promises to be one to remember. My journey continued with an authentic BBQ dinner and rodeo experience, a visit to the Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library in Austin, and an overnight stay in Fredericksburg, located in the heart of Texas Hill Country. In true CTD fashion, this itinerary also features many off-the-beaten-path experiences. Connecting with the passionate individuals who run organizations like the Polka Lovers Club of Texas and the Schulenburg Model Aircraft Museum taught me the depth of true Texas hospitality. One last highlight I must mention is that in 2026, travelers will be staying at the historic Strater Hotel in the heart of Durango. Built in 1887, it feels like stepping back in time filled with Victorian antiques and historic charm. Located right on Main Street, The Strater is within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Giving travelers a genuine small-town Colorado experience. x

Whenever I travel with CTD, there’s one tour that everyone talks about, and after experiencing it myself, I understand why. The Colorado Vintage Railways tour is a standout. Not only does it showcase the historic railways that helped shape westward expansion, but it also carried me through some of the most breathtaking vistas in the Rocky Mountains.
