OPP conducts raid in Clarence-Rockland

Ontario Provincial Police successfully raided nine locations across Ottawa, Gatin- eau and Clarence-Rockland on Monday, November 6 as part of a six-month long operation entitled “Project Landslide.” Four suspects were arrested, two of which are from Clarence-Rockland. The raids tar- geted drug and weapons trafficking, all believed to have ties to Ottawa street gang operations. During the six-month long in- vestigation, OPP has seized an AK-47, AR-15 rifle, and handguns, as well as thousands of methamphetamine pills. During the raids, the homes of the sus- pects were searched, as well as storage facili- ties and a business. Project Landslide is a large multi-juris- dictional investigation, spanning over six months, which has resulted in the seizure of high-powered weapons and drugs.The OPP will be holding a news conference in Ottawa on Wednesday, November 8 at 11 a.m., in order to release further details concerning the investigation.
La Police provinciale de l’Ontario a effectué avec succès un raid à neuf emplacements de la région, y compris Ottawa, Gatineau et Clarence-Rockland, le lundi 6 novembre, dans le cadre d’une opération de six mois appelée Project Landslide. Quatre suspects ont été arrêtés, dont deux sont de Clarence-Rockland et les autres d’Ottawa et de Gatineau. Au cours de l’enquête de sept mois, la PPO a saisi un AK-47, un fusil AR-15 et des armes de poing, ainsi que des milliers de comprimés de méthamphétamines. Le PPO prévoit tenir une conférence de presse lemercredi 8 novembre, à 11 h, à Ottawa, afin de divulguer plus de détails concernant Project Landslide. —photo d’archives
