Evangelistic Notices Leonard Eilers (Biola ’30), cowboy evangelist, conducted a two weeks’ cam paign in the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, Kingsburg, Calif., of which Einar I. Knudsen ( ’26) is serving as' pastor. Con cerning the meetings, Mr. Knudsen writes: “Mr. Eilers indeed exalts Christ, denounces sin, and leads the sinner to the cross for redemption. The power of the Holy Spirit in the quiet manner of preaching capti vates the hearers; Mr. Eilers is not a sen sationalist. This series of meetings was truly a revival for our church.” The Wm. F. Rawlins Evangelistic Party assisted in a three weeks’ Bible conference in the Struthers Baptist Tabernacle, Stru- thers, Ohio, from July 5 to 26. Later they conducted a week’s evangelistic meeting in the Calvary Presbyterian Tabernacle of New Castle, Pa. The Tabernacle was well filled each night, and many were saved and consecrated to Christ. Mr. Rawlins has a series of seven addresses in which he uses Dr. Pace’s cartoons from the Sunday School Times. These sermons and the pic torial method of presentation bring the message home to the sinner and saint in such a way that it is not soon forgotten. The party planned to be in the East for the summer and then return to the Pacific Coast. They may be addressed at 558 S. Hope St., Los Angeles, Calif. Carl C. Harwood, evangelist and Bible teacher, 1801 Humboldt St., Denver, Colo., held meetings at Mt. Harris, early in the summer with seventy-four decisions made for Christ. On July 26 they closed a three weeks’ meeting in the Judson Memorial Church, Denver, Colo. There were fifty- two conversions in this series of services.
