Weekend thunder at the Rockland races
Hundreds of riders on ATVs and dirt bikes of every size and horsepower, digging their wheels into the first as they run the trails, enjoy some air off the jumps, and try to leave the competition behind them in their dust. Spectators and riders enjoyed two days of solid sunshine over the August 26 weekend and a lot of good hard riding action.

Registration is Sept. 4, 6:30 p.m., with $60 sign-in fee for would-be front line and D- men and $30 for those seeking the goalie positions on the roster. The tryouts camp itself runs from 8 to 10 p.m., Sept. 4 to 6. Coaching staff will make preliminary selections for the season ros- ter in time to field a full team for the two pre-season exhibition matches taking place Sept. 7 against Maxville and September 9 versus Casselman. Regular season action hits the ice Sept. 16.
