DEUX HÉROS DE LA NATION SONT HONORÉS
Le 9 octobre dernier, le chef pompier du Service des incendies de La Nation, Tobias Hovey, et le chef de station Stéphane Savage, ont accompagné Gabriel Demers, un pompier de la Station 400 et employé de La Nation, ainsi que Jonathan Legault, employé de La Nation et pompier pour la municipalité de Casselman (ci-dessus). Ils se sont rendus à une cérémonie de la Police provinciale de l’Ontario (PPO) pour célébrer l’acte héroïque posé par MM. Demers et Legault le 2 septembre 2018, alors qu’ils étaient venus en aide à des occupants d’un bateau qui s’était renversé dans le fleuve Saint-Laurent. —photo fournie
Oligo Group president, Eric Brisson, displays a $1000 pledge to the Kin Club of Russell for the Welcome to Russell signage project. The two signs, when constructed, will be located on Castor Street, near the bike path between the villages of Russell and Embrun, and on Craig Street, close to the Boundary Road intersection. Major sponsors for the project, either in cash or in kind, will have their names on a plaque at the bike path sign location.
