The new traffic light setup at the Highway 417 overpass between Russell Township and Vars is proving more cantankerous than Ministry of Transportation officials expected. One of the traffic sensors in the pavement is slowing down the changeover rate for the signals and causing some long queues on the interchange ramp during afternoon peak traffic periods. The contractor in charge will reposition the sensors to correct the problem. —photo Gregg Chamberlain
