PROUD PROMOTION In a bittersweet announcement, Abbey’s special Deputy Headteacher, Mrs. Tracey Flanagan, will bid farewell to the school after 13 remarkable years of service. Her last day at Abbey will be Friday 27th October 2023. Her departure comes as she embarks on a new journey as the Headteacher of Causeway Green, a position she is set to excel in. Throughout her time at Abbey, Mrs. Flanagan's unwavering commitment and tireless efforts have helped ensure that Abbey continues to improve. Mrs. Flanagan's departure has left a void in the hearts of the Abbey community. Her infectious smile and unwavering positivity have touched the lives of students, staff, and parents alike. She will be deeply missed. The governors of Abbey have already taken proactive steps to ensure a seamless transition. A new Deputy Headteacher has been appointed, set to assume the role in 2024, during the summer term. This strategic decision ensures continuity and stability for the school community. Congratulations to Mrs. Yale! As Mrs. Flanagan embarks on her new chapter, the Abbey community is encouraged to bid her a fond farewell whenever they cross paths. Her impact on the school and the live s of those she has touched will be cherished for years to come. We will say goodbye to Mrs. Flanagan and welcome Mrs. Yale when she returns summer 2024.
