Revolutionary tools! Stoneage workshop

ANCIENT CONNECTIONS In an exciting archaeological adventure, Year 3 children have made remarkable discoveries that have left their teachers and classmates in awe. Armed with flint and hammers, these budding historians have uncovered fascinating insights into the ingenuity and resourcefulness of our ancient ancestors. A Revolutionary Moment: The birth of the sharp knife This incredible achievement marked the first time in history that humans had a tool specifically designed for cutting. This discovery has shed new light on the progress of early civilisations and their ability to adapt and thrive in challenging environments. Delving further into the past, the children discovered a surprising connection between humans and lions. It appears that our ancestors chose to live near these majestic creatures because of their exceptional skills in catching cows. Astonishingly, lions refrained from consuming the stomachs of their prey, allowing humans to collect these organs for sustenance. This unique relationship showcases the resourcefulness and adaptability of early communities. Among their many findings, the children were captivated by ancient handprints on walls. These handprints served as a means of communication, allowing our ancestors to say hello to their descendants and to us, the modern generation. This extraordinary connection across time and space serves as a powerful reminder of our shared humanity and the enduring legacy of those who came before us.

It was a tremendous workshop and the children gained a lot of knowledge from this event.
