I’m a celebrity! Abbey getting out there.

DRAW Children from Abbey braved the rain to cheer on the WBA Women's team in a thrilling match against Burnley. Among the spectators was Miss Hinton, Co-Assistant Coach of WBA Women's, who not only captured the hearts of her pupils but also proved to be a certified celebrity. Despite the downpour, the spirits of the young fans remained high as they witnessed West Brom's triumphant goal in the first half, igniting an eruption of cheers from the crowd. The match concluded in a draw, leaving both teams with a sense of accomplishment. However, it was the presence of Miss Hinton that truly stole the show. As the final whistle blew, the children eagerly gathered to greet their beloved teacher, who had become a firm favourite amongst the students. Miss Hinton, along with the players, graciously took the time to sign autographs and pose for pictures with the kids, leaving an indelible mark on their memories. The joyous atmosphere and the sight of strong, successful female role models on International Women's Day and Mother's Day made this experience all the more significant. The children left the stadium chanting "best day ever," their spirits lifted and dreams ignited. Who knows, perhaps one of Abbey's own girls will grace the field at The Hawthorns one day, inspired by the remarkable women they witnessed in action.

Thanks to Lucy H for the story.

[Ed - a fantastic story reminding us all of the power of sports and the impact of positive role models]
