Woodland art! Year 4 Local trip

GOLD We have been exploring the work of Andy Goldsworthy and the inspiring land art he creates. Our trip to Warley Woods gave us the chance to use his ideas as inspiration for our own artwork. Myla, Eva, and Siya were particularly drawn to his rock sculptures. They enjoyed the way rocks and leaves could be arranged into swirling patterns that looked so striking. "We imagined the leaves coming from a magical tree, which made our designs feel even more enchanting." Since Warley Woods is so close to our school, we were already familiar with the fairy doors hidden there. Inspired by these, we decided to create our own little village. Working together as a team was exciting—we had to use lots of communication and resilience, especially when things didn’t quite go as planned.

Thanks to Miss Vance for the story.
