Ippolito je imao priliku da razgovara i dobije savete direktno od samog Rokija, odnosno Silvestera Stalonea naravno Ippolito had an opportunity to talk to and receive advice from Rocky himself, i.e. Sylvester Stallone, of course
“I PLAY ROCKY” Confirming that the story of this film’s crea- tion has the power of an ancient drama is the latest Hollywood spectacle that’s set to be re- leased in cinemas worldwide this November, just in time for the 50 th anniversary. Peter Far- relly (Green Book) produced and directed the feature film I Play Rocky, which doesn’t depict boxing matches, but the unprecedented dra- ma that unfolded behind the scenes. The role of the young, stubborn and broke Sylvester Stallone was taken on by young actor Antho-
ny Ippolito, while Matt Dillon plays Frank Stal- lone Sr. The film portrays with surgical preci- sion the moment in which an unknown actor with a partially paralysed face rejects fabulous offers and issues an ultimatum to Hollywood: either I play Rocky, or there is no film. Amazon MGM Studios is set to release the film in No- vember as the crowning celebration of half a century of Rocky, giving fans around the world the opportunity to relive the moment when one man managed to change film his- tory by defying all industry rules.
from the famous bronze statue adorning the steps in front of the Philadelphia Mu- seum of Art, a monument to Rocky Bal- boa was also erected in Serbia in 2007, in the Vojvodina village of Žitište. This un- usual installation even attracted the at- tention of world media and showed that the story of a man who keeps getting back up when he’s been knocked down resonated just as strongly on the plain of the Banat region as it did across America. For all passengers flying direct to New York with Air Serbia, visiting Philadelphia and running up those famous steps re- mains an unmissable pilgrimage. Phila- delphia is practically “in the neighbour- hood”, at only 150 kilometres from New York, with the fastest option being the Amtrak train, which makes the journey from the station in Manhattan to Phil- adelphia city centre in just 1 hour and 15 minutes. If you travel by car or bus, the journey takes up to two hours, de- pending on urban congestion.
