TAILOR-MADE SOLUTIONS FROM PRECISION SWITCHGEAR… LV SWITCHGEAR
P recision Switchgear & Controls, in collaboration with PMcK Electrical and Semple McKillop & Tetra Tech, recently completed a successful project at
Electric product range and CUBIC Modular steelwork, which provided the necessary flexibility for the project’s requirements. Working out of its modern 8,000 sq ft purpose-built office suite and production facilities, Precision was able to call on the switchgear and control systems expertise of its core staff of electrical engineers to successfully produce each item to the client’s exact requirements. Based in County Tyrone and operating throughout NI, Ireland and GB, Precision has been serving the electrical industry, designing and manufacturing LV switchgear of the highest quality since 2012. Commenting on the completed project, Michael Connolly, Sales Director for Precision Switchgear said, “The working relationship between all parties was extremely beneficial to the design and site requirements, and we are delighted that the project was completed successfully and on time.”

design, manufacture and supply of 14 switchboards, which were required to meet strict site requirements. The project was a government initiative, and all parties involved worked closely together to achieve a common goal. The site was fed via two transformers, with an auxiliary generator supply interface equipped with a Deep Sea controller for changeover and Castell interlocking. All main breakers were withdrawable devices, with ML6.0 LSIG protection. Additionally, all feeders were fitted with MID multi- function meters, which were linked via Modbus protocol for site connectivity and energy management. The project made use of the Schneider
