CHAPTER SEVEN God’s Economic System
God's Economy Everything belongs to God, and it is from Him that we are given stewardship over worldly wealth, and heavenly economics from God's perspective is very different from worldly economics. To be good stewards, we need to have a heavenly perspective. Have the right attitude for handling money, be content with all that God has given us, and be diligent in our actions by seeking wise counsel. It All Belongs to God; this section will teach You how to get your finances in order such that you have the freedom to refocus your attention on heavenly riches. This section talks about managing God's money, not yours. If there is only one thing you get out of reading this book, it should be this: God owns everything! The Bible is clear on this concept — Everything belongs to God. Our education, our job, our promotion, our family, our home, all our belongings and everything we have belongs to God. “Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all. Now, our God, we give you thanks and praise your glorious name.” — 1 Chronicles 29:11-13
Our job in this world is to be good stewards of everything that God has given us to manage. However, in doing so, we need to make sure we remember the source of all we have, for having a heavenly perspective
