Head Prefect Jack Belcher and Deputy Jamie Barr were the MCs for the night, while the performances were judged by Hugo Zanker, an innovative, Christchurch-born musician who studied and performed in Germany and the United Kingdom before returning home. Condell’s won the House Choir Instrumental Backing Trophy while the D.J. Ellison Instrumental Cup was awarded to Somes. Jacobs and Harper were joint winners in the Mr and Mrs C.C. Moore Choral Plate for Best Small Vocal Ensemble. The Carey Shield for the Best House Choir was won by Julius, with Condell’s 2nd and Corfe 3rd, while the Parents’ Association Overall Winner of House Music went to Somes.
